Six Florida races could help give GOP control of Congress

— Florida's party primaries last week set the stage for a half-dozen closely contested congressional elections this fall that could help resurgent Republicans regain majority control of Congress.

National political analysts foresee a Republican gain of two or three U.S. House seats in Florida.

Four Democratic incumbents appear vulnerable: Alan Grayson of Orlando, Suzanne Kosmas of New Smyrna Beach, Allen Boyd of Monticello and Ron Klein of Boca Raton. On the other hand, two open seats vacated by Republicans in South and Central Florida offer opportunities for Democrats.

Allen West Requests Bi-Partisan Support Against Ground Zero Mosque

Dear Fellow Patriots,

This morning I delivered the following letter to Congressman Ron Klein, requesting his bi-partisan support in taking a stand against the proposed Mosque at Ground Zero. I hope you will echo my sentiments to him, as it is essential that we not allow this mosque to be built on the hallowed ground where thousands of our fellow countrymen lost their lives.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Allen B. West

West's campaign has raised $3.5 million so far this cycle, with $2.2 million cash on hand. This is a seat Nancy Pelosi would like to keep, and for good reason. “He’s trying to remake himself as a fiscal conservative, a moderate,” West says. “The tough thing is that Klein has a 98 percent voting record with Pelosi, so he can’t run from that.”

Statement by FL22 Congressional Candidate Allen West on Court Ruling of AZ Immigration Bill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 29th, 2010

(Deerfield Beach, FL) "Yesterday's decision by Justice Susan Bolton in the Arizona Illegal Immigration Law case placed irresponsible and illogical special interest politics over the rule of law. America is a Constitutional Republic which embraces the fundamental premise of the rule of law. In the Constitution of the United States, Article I, Sections 8 and 10; Article 4, Section 4; and the 10th Amendment provide Arizona a basis for taking necessary action to protect its citizens against a cross border invasion of illegal immigrants. As the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats celebrate their perceived victory, thousands of Americans are once again in the line of fire.
