West Weekly Wrap-up (W3) Report for the week of Nov. 23, 2009. Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings to everyone and I hope you all enjoyed a very Happy Thanksgiving. Regardless of some of the current troubles in America, we still live in the greatest nation on earth. Times are hard for many, but we all are able to take time to give thanks as the Pilgrims did after surviving the harshness of coming to America.

Today, America is faced with many challenges to our economy, including unprecedented high unemployment and an increasingly large federal government with plans to control many intimate aspects of our lives. We confront a media that censors the truth and mocks its fellow citizens. Our founding principles are being discarded by many in government.  However, I stand with those that still believe in American exceptionalism and I am comforted by the positive outpouring of support for our campaign and what lies ahead for our country.  America has always risen to her challenges and I believe that, despite the damaging policies of Ron Klein and Nancy Pelosi, our people will respond and our greatness will restore vitality and growth to our economy.  No government spending program can ever replace the ingenuity and hard work of our fellow citizens or create the lasting jobs so many Americans need.  Ron Klein and Nancy Pelosi choose to preach of our failures rather than extol our virtues and the time is arriving fast when we can all work together to extol their failures in the 2010 elections.

Another liberal failure recently came our way with the troubling news of the Attorney General's decision to bring Islamic terrorists to the US and afford them Constitutional rights in our judicial system. America need not evidence to the world that our legal system is fair and just; it is, for Americans.  Liberals like Ron Klein imagine a world where terrorists are captured on a battlefield, handcuffed and read their Miranda rights.  Just a short time ago this seemed unimaginable and yet we find ourselves at the mercy of leaders who believe terrorists fighting and killing our citizens and soldiers should have access to our courts while, at the same time, conclude our health care decisions belong to the federal government.  This is the same government which has already consumed the automobile industry and financial system with design upon the energy sector if Cap and Trade legislation passes.  After wasting $800 billion on the failed stimulus package, watching unemployment continue to rise, giving terrorists rights to our courts and offering the world a weaker America, 2010 is time for us all to stand together and say no more waste, no more weakness and no more to a government that gobbles up our money and gives away our rights to terrorists.  We shall indeed stay true to our principles and find the renewal our country needs.

What doesn't surprise me during these last few turbulent months is that my Congressional opponent Ron Klein has no comment.  Ron Klein has no comment on the Ft Hood terrorist attack.  Ron Klein has no comment on bringing GITMO terrorists to NYC for trial.  Ron Klein has no comment of unemployment being at 10.2% nationwide and over 11% in Florida.  Ron Klein has no comment on strategy in Afghanistan.  Ron Klein stands for what Nancy Pelosi tells him to stand for: TARP, Porkulus, Cap and Tax, Government-controlled Health Care.   District 22 needs a representative who will go to Washington DC and work on behalf of the voters and not for Speaker Pelosi and her special interests.  I hope we can all work together for a victory next year as any win in my name is a win for return to fiscal responsibility and belief in America.  Should you wish to join our team or make a well appreciated donation to the effort, please find your way to www.allenwestforcongress.com.  It is time for us all to join in the work that needs to be done.

We are less than a year from the mid-term elections of 2010 which shall define the future and legacy of our country.   The first Thanksgiving was about hope after the early Pilgrims survived the harsh winter that greeted them in the New World.  We shall also survive the hardships inflicted by Obama, Reid, Dodd, Schumer, Pelosi, Frank, Murtha, Rangel, Hoyer, Waxman, Wasserman-Schultz......and Klein.

God Bless America,

Allen
